The Water Fights on the Alanya Jeep Safari 4x4
A summer tradition of the day, explained before you are in the middle of it: what happens, who it is for, and how to protect what must stay dry.
Short answer
In summer the jeeps soak each other with water on the tracks — it is part of the day, not an accident, and everyone in an open jeep gets some of it. Keep your phone and valuables in a sealed pouch, bring a change of dry clothes, and if you would rather stay dry, say so to the driver and sit in the middle of the jeep.
What actually happens
Somewhere on the tracks the convoy slows, the water starts flying, and the jeeps take turns at each other. It ends when the drivers say so, and you are dry again by the time lunch is over. The record calls it a summer tradition; in the cooler months it is quieter or absent.
Keeping things dry
The one rule: nothing that cannot get wet leaves the pouch. Phones, cameras, passports, hearing aids. A zipped waterproof pouch costs little and is the difference between a story and a loss. The packing list has the rest.
If you would rather not
Tell the driver before the convoy leaves the asphalt. You will still get some spray — the jeeps are open — but you will not be a target. Guests who would rather have none of it should think about the boat day instead; the Dim is for getting wet.
