What to Wear and Bring on the Alanya Jeep Safari 4x4
Not a generic holiday list — the operator's own, for a day that is dusty on the tracks, wet in the river and warm at lunch.
Short answer
Wear clothes you can get wet and dusty in, nothing delicate. The operator's list: swimwear, a towel, sports shoes or sandals, sunscreen, and small change for the extras — drinks, the cave, photos. A hat, something dry to change into and a waterproof pouch for the phone are sensible additions, if you want them.
On your body
- Clothes you would not mind ruining: the tracks throw up red dust and the convoys throw water.
- Sports shoes or sandals, as the operator asks.
- A hat that will not blow off in an open jeep, sunglasses, sun cream applied before the pickup.
In your bag
- Swimwear and a towel for the swims.
- Optional: a change of dry clothes for the drive back — the water fights do not spare anyone.
- A sealed, waterproof pouch for your phone, and the same thought for anything else that must stay dry.
- Small change for the extras: drinks, the cave fee if you choose the cave, photos.
Leave at the hotel
Anything that cannot get wet, dusty or shaken. The jeeps are open, the tracks are rough, and there is no safe dry place on board for a laptop or a good camera without its own case.
