The Alanya Jeep Safari 4x4, Station by Station
The whole day on the operator's own timetable, from the hotel pickup to the 15:00 return — what happens when, and where the extras sit.
Short answer
The 4x4 day has eight stations: pickup at your hotel between 08:00 and 09:15; a briefing from 09:30 and the start at 10:00; on the way up, orange groves and banana plantations, river crossings on the Dim and photo stops at a waterfall and the turquoise Dim Dam; from 10:30 to 12:00 a swim in the Dim River with a drinks stop, or the Dim Cave for an extra fee; from 12:30 a village mosque, a village house and a second mosque; lunch until 14:00; a swim stop from 14:00 to 14:45; and the return to the hotels at 15:00. About 8 hours from hotel to hotel; lunch is in the €25 fare.
Pickup and the start
The morning starts at your hotel's entrance. Pickup runs from 08:00 to 09:15 across the belt, and your hotel's exact time reaches you the day before. A briefing follows from 09:30, and at 10:00 the jeeps set off into the pine-scented Taurus slopes behind Alanya.
On the way up
Once the convoy leaves the coast road, it climbs past orange groves and banana plantations. Where the track meets the Dim, the jeeps drive straight through the river — the first wet moment of the day — and then come two photo stops: a waterfall, and the turquoise water held back by the Dim Dam. The programme gives these no clock time of their own; they happen on the drive.
River or cave
From 10:30 to 12:00 the day gives you a choice. Most guests swim in the Dim River and take the drinks stop; those who want it visit the Dim Cave instead, for an extra fee paid at the cave. Drinks are extra either way.
The village
From 12:30 the day turns quiet: a village mosque, a look inside a village house, and a second mosque. We print no village name; the operator's programme does not give one we can stand behind.
Lunch, the swim stop, the return
Lunch is at a riverside restaurant on the Dim, inside the fare; drinks are paid at the table. From 14:00 to 14:45 there is a swim stop, and at 15:00 the jeeps head back to the hotels, to the entrance they collected you from.
